Dear Parents/Guardians,

I hope this finds you all well and enjoying your summer and I hope your daughters are looking forward to returning to school! The staff are really looking forward to seeing all the girls again and we are pleased that the Government has now issued guidelines on the 'Safe Return to School'. Updates will be published on our Blog. Information on the rescheduled dates for First Communion and Confirmation has also been posted to the Blog.

Over the next few weeks, the management team of St. Ursula's will be putting a comprehensive plan in place - we will need to make some changes to certain areas - all of these changes will be shared with parents before we return to school. Please be reassured that the guidelines will be followed very carefully and the health & safety of the whole school community will be our first priority. We are very aware that this hasn't been an easy time for children and we will ensure to take care of children's wellbeing to make sure that they settle back into school routine well.

Our arrangements for uniforms are as follows - children can wear school uniform three days every week and school tracksuit two days every week. We hope this will allow time to change between the two options and allow time for extra washing if needed. We are encouraging parents to buy short-sleeved shirts as the long-sleeved ones can be difficult to manage when washing hands. Uniforms and tracksuit can be bought from K-Sport. This year we are changing to a red polo t-shirt - these t-shirts can be bought in any shop (Dunnes, Tesco etc.) In the Junior and Senior Infant classes, if parents feel that they children need to wear their school tracksuit more frequently, there will be no problem with that.

Over the next few weeks, I will be in touch to communicate details of our school plan and to inform you of any changes that have been made. I'd like to remind you that school reopens on Thursday August 27th August. Feel free to email me with any queries you may have at principal@ursulineps.ie.  Looking forward to seeing everyone again,

Kind Regards,

Caitriona Daly.

Student and staff wellbeing is very important to us in St. Ursula's. During the school year we post up Weekly Positive Quotes. Check out our Wellbeing page for more positive quotes.
