On Tuesday the 18th of April Eva Sauvage from Mr. Lyons’ 6th class participated in the Waterford Spelling Bee County Final.
It was a fantastic achievement to be selected to represent our school. Eva faced stiff competition to win our 6th Class Spelling Bee here in St. Ursula's to earn her place in the County Final.
The standard at the competition was very high. Each participant had to stand up and spell their word in front of the audience. It was a high-pressure environment and Eva handled the situation with ease. She performed brilliantly and made it to the final round. Eva finished 2nd overall in all of county Waterford which is a fantastic achievement.
