Our Junior (4th class) and Senior (mixed 5th and 6th class) basketball teams took part in the annual Waterford Primary Schools Basketball tournaments this week, March 19 - 21.
Featuring teams from schools big and small across the county, it is always a wonderful outing to the Mercy Secondary School, home of our local Superleague team, SETU Waterford Wildcats.
Over 50 girls represented St Ursula's across the teams and each and every one of them did the school proud. Congratulations to the Senior girls who finished second in their tournament in what was a nail-biting finish that could have gone either way and well done to the Junior girls on their amazing games plus managing to field 3 full teams!!!
Thank you to Ms Bolster, Ms Dillon, Mr Frisby, Ms Glynn, Ms Palmer, Mrs Stapleton and Mrs Willins for all their hard work with the girls since September with training sessions taking place weekly and over 110 girls taking part!
